On Docs is designed to provide filmmakers with training, mentorship, and industry connections to help them develop, produce, and market impactful projects.
Our goal with this program is to support the growth of the nonfiction film industry in Africa by fostering a strong ecosystem. From development to production, post-production, and marketing, we provide filmmakers with a structured support system. Through a series of workshops, masterclasses, and one-on-one sessions with experienced professionals, participants gain valuable insights and industry expertise. The program is specifically designed for directors and producers with projects in active development, production, or post-production, equipping them with the tools needed to navigate the film-making process successfully.
To maximize impact, we connect participants with creative and business consultants, offering strategies and best practices that benefit both their current projects and long-term careers. Our mission is to position them for sustained success as they grow professionally. The program takes place at various partner events, festivals, and industry gatherings such as film markets and symposiums. Each session is tailored to a specific objective, ensuring that participants receive the knowledge and resources necessary to advance as nonfiction filmmakers.
On Docs is designed for partnerships, and we are always looking for documentary film festivals, markets, and institutions to collaborate with in elevating African creators. Let’s connect and explore what we can achieve together. Click here to get in touch with us.
